Meet Your Next Oakland County Family Court Judge

We are pleased to welcome Victoria King and Hon. Lisa Neilson (Ret.), candidates for the open seat on the Oakland County Circuit Court bench. Each candidate will provide a brief introduction, share her professional background and experience, and discuss her interest in serving on the bench.

Hon. Lisa Neilson (Ret.) previously served as a Wayne County Family Court Judge from 2012 through 2022, when she retired. Before taking the bench, she practiced in the areas of family and probate law and began her legal career as a law clerk and staff attorney in Oakland County Circuit Court.

Victoria King was in private practice prior to becoming a Judicial Staff Attorney in the Oakland County Circuit Court for the past 14 years.  She is also the current Vice President and Director of the Oakland County Bar Association and active in the legal community.
